About The Role Our Client, one of the UK’s largest Independent Approved Inspectors, have an exciting opportunity for a Building Control Surveyor to join their Building Control’s team. The building Control Surveyor will be responsible for providing a customer focused building control plan checking and site inspection service to help ensure projects meet the Building Regulations and associated guidance. Main duties include but are not limited to: Maintain a portfolio of projects and clients whilst efficiently prioritising own workload. Assess and set fees. Vet applicable documents and drawings to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations, associated statutory legislation and guidance. Attend client and design team meetings to give professional building control advice. Foster sound working relationships with colleagues and external contacts. About You Our client are looking for a customer focused, reliable individual with good communication skills. You will be a problem solver who is able to work from their own initiative and prioritise their workload. You will have previous in-house or external building control experience and conversant with relevant legislation, technical guidance and the Construction Industry Council Code of Conduct. The ideal candidate will be IT literate with a Corporate or Associate membership of RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent or working towards completing professional qualification.
